New religious fundamentalist groups are often marginalized because of their unconventional beliefs and practices. The present study explored the characteristics of these groups by examining response sets on the Religious Fundamentalism (RF) scale, the Right-Wing Authoritarianism (RWA) scale, and the Psychological Well-Being (PWB) scale within a religiously heterogeneous sample. A significant correlation between RF and RWA was found. The sample was divided into three group belief categories (Nicene, Non-Nicene, Eastern Religious/Other) that may represent the degree of marginalization a given group experiences. Statistical analyses, using MANOVA and the Scheffe procedure, showed that the groups that had the lowest levels of RF and RWA may be the most marginalized. Implications of the present findings were discussed
